The old pigskin, an oblong ball used for the american sport of Football. Traditionally made of a dried and inflated pig bladder, modern footballs are made of synthetic rubber or cow leather. They are composed of 4 panels that are stitched together and inflated. The exposed laces are to give the fingers a bit of grip to aid in creating a spiral when thrown.
